Great roast beef sandwiches. Their pastrami is lean and tasty. A little pricey but that hasn't kept me from going back time and time again.
Not that impressed. The sandwich was too "wet" on one side, and WAY too dry on the rest. The beef was good, but too dry. Toppings were barely there (did lettuce and tomatoes or mayo suddenly get expensive?). I got a sandwich to go with lettuce and tomato on the side. Talk about pitiful! Fancy "looking" lettuce with no substance, and PAPER Thin tomato. Whoa easy there guy, with that ONE slice. It is HUGE though (and also 3/10's of a mm thin). smh

There was the "typical" bean counter type guy there running the show that thinks he's an "expert" at running a restaurant. Trust me when I tell you that he's friggin clueless, and is in the middle of ruining that place. I've seen it a million times in my 33 years in "the biz". These type of guys always fail in the end. They go too far, and get too greedy. They nickel and dime to death, until they just run everybody off. Sure they retain enough customers that buy into their BS to do okay. But if you're not thriving. You're not really surviving in this biz. And the whole thing crumbles in the end. Watching your food cost dollars is smart. Watching your food cost pennies is MF'ing ignorant. And that's EXACTLY the sense I get here. Pay attention to the quality my dude. Then your costs won't matter. You don't make dollars by pinching pennies my brother. Worry about the customers, not your food costs, and success will follow. Believe me. Also I got the sense that the employees (young girls) were a little "on edge". I don't EVER get that feeling at places with good management. Don't stress out your crew my man. Just don't. You need to give them leeway to be themselves, and relax. You're obviously too intense, and need to just roll with it. I'm probably just going to make you freak out more, but someone needs to say something. I saw so many things going wrong, that only a person in the business would even understand, it's not even funny. And believe me. This review is an attempt to get the management to wake up. I've been to the East Providence location many, many times. They have a similar style of management going on, but with quite a difference. They do it right. This place has some serious issues. And I really think it's the dude I saw running the show that night. He was wound up tighter then a two dollar watch. He had the whole place on edge. There was NOBODY in there, until I walked in. And until I received my order. I was the only customer there. There is zero reason for that much tension my man. You need to chill. Just chill!
