Good prices, good selection. Store is usually very crowded. Great produce section, the best in the area. The cashiers and baggers are friendly, and do a great job. My only complaint about this store, is it is poorly laid out with no logic whatsoever. Whoever designed the layout must have been high on something. I have never seen a store with ice cream in the front of the store with the produce. Or things like batteries in the same aisle as feminine hygiene products. Or cold cuts, in 3 different locations. It is all very random like somebody just walked around placing things in random places. So it is really hard to navigate, and even after going there weekly many times, I still find it to be a very long shopping trip due to my inability to locate the things I need. I will say, however, that the employees know where everything is, so it you ask one, they can invariably tell you exactly which illogical aisle it is in.
Today being a holiday I figured it would be busy. It was busier than I thought. But fairly easy to navigate with a basket. And with so many registers open very quick to get through. I enjoy shopping at Market Basket.
Low prices everyday and sales that don't need coupons or cards. Friendly staff. It can get busy at times but they generally have most registers going and the lines move quick for the number of people. They have affordable in house butcher meat. They grind hamburger fresh in the store. All these "little" things add up to a consistent pleseant experience. Plus MB is family owned and you see the same employees consistently. I particularly like the salmon they offer. Yes it is farm raised but it's ocean farmed in waters off Norway. Parking can be tough during commute times or peak hours Saturday and Sunday but it's worth it.
Unfortunately I was unsure of closing time I walked in at 845 p.m. gentleman at meat counter did not rush me was very polite and filling my order asked me multiple times if I needed anything else. More grocery stores should take a page out of their book as far as cleanliness, hospitality and freshness of food and among the most important the price can't be beat. The things that I had in my car I thought I would walk out of there over $150 but was surprisingly happy when it was just over 100. I think I found my new supermarket. Thank you Market Basket
Prices can't be beat. Selection is very good. Employees are very nice and well trained. BUT, it's always packed with people.....you can't be in a hurry, and your patience is guaranteed to be tested by the other shoppers.
